OSC 25 oil/water separator with Organo Clay - 25l/s max capacity, 6mm inlet

Every oil-injected compressor leaves a small amount of oil in the compressed air it delivers, and the Atlas Copco OSC 25 oil/water separator (8102046649) is the unit that recovers that oil once it collects as condensate in the compressed air system. Condensate is simply the water that forms as compressed air cools, and it carries traces of that oil with it. Send the liquid straight to the drain and it contaminates the wastewater system, which is environmentally damaging and, in most countries, unlawful. By parting the oil from the water, the OSC 25 lets the water be released within normal discharge limits while the recovered oil is set aside for proper disposal, so condensate is managed correctly.

The OSC 25 sits downstream of the compressor rather than within the airline itself, so it does not treat the air your tools use. It works on the condensate that drains out of the system, separating the oil from the water so each can be handled correctly.

Separation happens by adsorption, a process in which the oil is drawn onto the surface of a filter material and held there, with no powered stage involved. The condensate follows a two-step filtration path in which Organo Clay media captures the oil as the liquid passes through, and the outlet is rated at an oil content of 10 ppm, the figure this unit is built to achieve.

Matching the separator to your installation is done on air flow. Rated for a maximum capacity of 25 l/s (53.0 cfm) of compressed air, measured with a dryer and filter fitted in the system, the OSC 25 connects via a 6 mm inlet.
